Sherry Johnson Professional Biography

Doctoral Candidate, Sherry Johnson has served as a Consultant at the elementary, middle, and high school level. She has 6 years of experience in consulting, more than 25 years of experience as a K-12 educator and experience in early childhood education. She is an alumnus of Delta State University in Cleveland, MS, where she earned a BSE in biology. Dr. Johnson continued her higher education endeavors at The University of the Rockies, earning a MA in Psychology, and continues her educational journey as a doctoral candidate of the EdD program in Education with a Special Education emphasis at National University. Her areas of study include external supports, standardization of scores in science and professional development for teachers. Her expertise is in the area Science.

Dr. Johnson lives by the adage, “The tool is only as good as the hand it is in.” This means it is vital for teachers who have the resources and lesson designs to know how to implement them in the classroom for maximum student outcome and efficacy. She has developed a passion and personal commitment to helping students succeed which is demonstrated in her role as a founder of a non-profit organization, The Better Life Foundation, Inc., for the past 18 years. She is also a published author of children’s books.
